Calif. paper's Web site does not confer jurisdiction in Illinois
An Illinois federal court ruled Oct. 27 that courts in that state do not have jurisdiction over a defamation suit against a California newspaper that operates a Web site because the site's interactivity with non-California residents is minimal, according to Mealey's intellectual property news.
